I recently had the opportunity to attend the ServiceMaster Annual Convention in Boston. Metalcraft is now an approved label supplier for ServiceMaster and this was our first opportunity to meet many of the franchise owners face-to-face. Now, we attend a variety of trade shows throughout the year, but this one was a bit different in that, for the most part, everyone was pretty much interested in the same product for the same application. It took a bit of getting used to because many of the shows we go to attendees are interested in many different products (or even technologies, i.e. RFID) for either similar applications (i.e. asset tracking) or very different, customized identification or tracking applications.
What we discovered is the ServiceMaster organization as a whole is a wonderful organization and the owners really understand the benefits that can be derived from an automated asset tracking system that includes bar code tags. The majority of the owners are using our photo anodized product line - either our Metal Bar Code Nameplates or our Foil Bar Code Labels. These products are ideal for them because much of this equipment will be exposed to chemicals or outdoor conditions and these products will still last the lifetime of the equipment. As first time exhibitors we could not have felt more welcome and are looking forward to next year!
