We just got back from the AIM Expo - the premier event for AIM (Association for Automatic Identification and Mobility) USA - held this week in Chicago. AIM is a global organization of which
Metalcraft is a member and I found it very interesting to talk with representatives from both AIM Russia and AIM Germany about their organizations when they stopped by the
Metalcraft booth. They told me separately that both organizations either already to hold or plan to hold similar events as the AIM Expo. To me this is just another indicator that automatic identification and associated products/technologies are truly a global phenomenon.
The majority of the shows we attend/exhibit at are either technology specific, i.e. RFID Journal Live! or industry specific, i.e. UID Forums so it was very interesting to talk to people from a wide variety of industries who were interested in automatic identification as a whole and not just one specific aspect of it.
The AIM Expo will be held again in 2011, but at this time the dates and location have not been finalized. However, once this information is finalized you can be sure that Metalcraft will sign up for this valuable industry event.
