2011 - the Year for Asset Tracking!

The new year brings new opportunities for automatic identification, i.e. inventory tracking, asset tracking, work-in-process, etc. The primary one we focus on at Metalcraft is asset tracking. Benefits of asset tracking are countless, i.e., saving man hours because you don't have to hunt down missing equipment, saving money because you don't need to replace "lost" equipment, better utilization of equipment because you are able to better track maintenance records and other valuable information as well as many more benefits.

The definition of an asset has changed so much and the automatic identification providers have had to evolve in order to meet the changing needs of the customers - from serialized nameplates to Universal RFID Tags and everything in between. Of course RFID is the new and exciting technology getting all sorts of attention and deservedly so, but we still have customers purchasing crash indented nameplates we started producing 60 years ago!

So let's kick off 2011 right and get to tracking!
